Kresh

Kresh is a loose confederation of former pirate crews that bound together to stake a claim for themselves during the chaos of the last Great War. The nation is ruled by four ‘families’ descended from the four crews that united and annexed the eastern half of the old country of Zorinthe. Much of the lower class of Kresh is former Zorinthar who were caught in by the settlement ultimately drawn up in the Jihara Accords. By Kresh law, Zorinthe families cannot be employed above a certain pay grade, but this is mostly just followed in the major cities. The four major families and the twenty minor families who capitulated before the war was over operate all major functions of government, industry and commerce, creating a Patrician/Plebian dynamic.

Kresh was the last Human nation to establish an official messenger service. They are known as the Waverunners. The Waverunners have the largest and best equipped naval presence, including two full Dreadnought Class war ships that act as offshore offices. They are notably faster between coastal locations, but they are competent on land and have a very good reputation therein.
